You know when you get super busy? Like really busy? And then suddenly you look at the calendar and realize three months have gone by! That’s what happened to this High River Photographer – I haven’t really shared anything I have shot since August! Yikes!
I’d like to introduce you to the Miller Family. I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph this family when their daughter returned home from her studies on Baffin Island in the summer! Sandy had shown me some images they had taken in a studio when their daughter was younger, and wanted the same sort of look and feel as the plain white backdrop they had then!
I really enjoy being able to accommodate special requests like that in my studio. It’s one of the many benefits of being able to shoot both indoors, as well as provide an indoor studio location for families. It also really helps when the weather isn’t great!
One of the things I really enjoy about studio photography like this is that when you’re working with your lights, you are in complete control – you can really make the image look exactly how you like it by manipulating the position and intensity of your lights. The goal here was bright, fun and clean!
I also got to use my favourite image from this session in my recent accreditation that was accepted by the Professional Photographers of Canada – Portrait Class. Read about that here.
